We are a San Jose based nonprofit focused on serving, strengthening, and advocating for the unhoused and underserved in our community. Our programs provide critical resources and tools to the unhoused and educational and mentorship opportunities for at risk children.

Our Vision is for every person in the Silicon Valley to have access to the tools and resources they need to become self-sufficient and live healthy, fulfilling lives. Our Values – We’re a team of regular people, just like you. We come together with a shared sense of empathy and love for all. Those who partner with us share the fundamental values of non-judgement, respect, kindness, and generosity.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to bring people and resources together to meet the needs of the underserved in our community, specifically the homeless, houseless and those in risk of becoming so in the Silicon Valley.
Our Values
Our History
Muindi Foundation had its beginnings in 2018 in San Jose, California, with only 5 members. The organization was founded by Tim and Serena Muindi who’s parents inspired them be a part and serve the underserved in there communities. Serena worked with the IRS for the organization’s 501(c)(3) designation that same year.
Muindi Foundation started with providing basic needs support to the homeless in there community and have grown to incorporate tutoring and mentorship support.
