Tim Muindi
Tim is a global technology and equity leader, serving as Group Vice President of Treasury, Sustainability, and Global Impact at ServiceNow. In 2025, he was honored as a GlobalMindED Inclusive Leader in Technology for his exceptional efforts in advancing racial equity and social impact.
Born and raised in Kenya, Tim was shaped by parents who believed life was meant to impact others and uplift communities. They modeled generosity through their time and resources, and in the late 1990s founded the Tumaini Children's Home in Nyeri to care for unhoused, orphaned, and abandoned children. Listening to the stories of those children left a deep mark on Tim, teaching him the power of compassion and the difference one act of care can make.
In 2002, Tim relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has spent over two decades blending corporate leadership with community service. Alongside his wife Serena, he became active in church outreach programs and grassroots efforts to meet the needs of the unhoused in Silicon Valley. They began by preparing meals at home and sharing them with those living on the streets--small, consistent acts mobilized friends and reminded Tim of his parents' example of meeting people where they are.
Tim's professional career spans leadership roles at CNF, Ernst & Young, Seagate, Tibco, LinkedIn, and Lumentum, before joining ServiceNow. As GVP, he oversees capital markets, treasury operations, currency risk management, investments, and insurance. He is also the architect of the ServiceNow Racial Equity Fund, a $100 million initiative launched in 2021 to help close racial wealth gaps by expanding access to homeownership, affordable housing, small business lending, and neighborhood revitalization. The fund has already enabled hundreds of mortgages, rental units, and loans, offering families a chance to build generational wealth.
Under his leadership, ServiceNow has strengthened its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments, from achieving Net Zero by 2030 to scaling sustainability solutions that make a global impact.
Beyond his corporate role, Tim serves on the board of the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose, underscoring his commitment to youth and education.
Tim holds a BA in International Business from Whitworth University and an MBA in Finance from Willamette University.
When he isn't working, Tim enjoys golf, working out, Golden State Warriors basketball, and perfecting his skills on the grill. He also loves collecting wine, discovering amazing food, and spending time with family and friends--particularly during visits to Kenya, where he reconnects with his roots, heritage, and community.
