Who We Are





We are a nonprofit providing support to homeless and at-risk families. We provide basic needs support and free tutoring and mentorship program for students in grades 1-3. At our core, reading, writing and math competencies are the focus of our programs. By providing free tutoring programs, students learn to enjoy learning and become more confident.

Our goal is to give every homeless or at-risk child in Silicon Valley the opportunity and support to succesfully complete elemenatary school at or above gradae level by offerring FREE tutoring and mentorship programs.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring people and resources together to meet the needs of the underserved in our community, specifically the homeless, houseless and those in risk of becoming so in the Silicon Valley.

Our History
Muindi Foundation had its beginnings in 2018 in San Jose, California, with only 5 members. The organization was founded by Tim and Serena Muindi who’s parents inspired them be a part and serve the underserved in there communities. Serena worked with the IRS for the organization’s 501(c)(3) designation that same year.
Muindi Foundation started with providing basic needs support to the homeless in there community and have grown to incorporate tutoring and mentorship support.
