Release and Waiver of Liability Release & Waiver of Liability The function of the organizers and event hosts of the Muindi Foundation Inc. (MF) is only to organize the event. Joining the events with the Muindi Foundation Inc. is entirely voluntary and participants signing up for an event or any other activity, should fully understand the risks, dangers, and hazards associated with that activity and freely accept and fully assume all such risks, dangers and hazards, and further agree to release and discharge the MF, Organizer, Assistant Organizers and the event hosts of the SMuindi Foundation Inc. from and against any and all liability arising from your participation in the group activities. Each person who signs up for an event or outing is responsible for his or her own safety and that person is also responsible for any guest or guests they bring along to the event. It is each volunteer’s responsibility to ensure that s/he and his/her guests are in sufficient fitness and health to participate in the events. Event organizers make no warranties about the quality, safety, or supervision of these activities. By signing up for the event, you and your guests are accepting all the rules of the event. IMPORTANT: This is a Volunteer group, we are NOT liable for anyone’s safety and we are NOT responsible for carpool arrangements to the events and any incident during the event or carpooling with other members. Please be careful who you carpool with. If you feel someone’s behavior is not appropriate toward you or if someone harasses you, you can report that person to Meetup Headquarters or the local police department. If someone is inappropriate, violent, or dangerous to other members DURING one of our events, we will remove that person from the Muindi Foundation and our Meetup Groups without any warning. But if someone harasses you before or after the events or during the carpooling, follow you up or look you up on any other online social media, we may not remove the member from our group, you may want to report that person to local police department. Please respect other members and be safe. NO-SHOW POLICY (3 strikes and out): We understand that we are all busy people, and sometimes we have to bow out of events that we are interested in attending for various reasons. If you find you can’t make it to an event you have signed up for, please update your RSVP to NO at least 48 hours before the event. This will allow us to open a space for another volunteer who can attend. We don’t want to let down the people/non-profits that we serve, and we want to make sure that volunteers who want to attend events have the ability to participate. If you RSVP for an event and do NOT show up for the event, you will be marked as a “No Show.” After you have been a No Show to 2 events, we reserve the right to remove you from the group. We hope that you all understand the benefit of a policy like this for both the volunteers and the organizers. Thanks, Muindi Foundation Inc. I accept all terms of the Release and Waiver of Liability.
